Originally from Aldergrove, Thomas is married to Thérèse and lives in Crumlin with their three young sons. Thomas has represented the people of South Antrim in the Assembly since he was first elected as an MLA in 2003 and again in 2007. He has also served on Antrim Borough Council since 1997.
